This supercritical CO2 is neither a liquid nor a gas, but it possesses the high diffusivity of a gas and the high solubility of a liquid. Its properties can be freely controlled by adjusting temperature and pressure, making it widely used in the extraction and removal of components in fields such as food and herbal medicine.
